Volunteer Day October 2016

We had a wonderful morning at the Jungle Restaurant and welcomed many new faces. 

Washcloths folded and counted, panties sorted and rolled, snaps applied to beautiful finished shields, templates traced, PUL Shield cuts prepared, fabrics ironed, bags sewn, liners pieced and serged, pockets traced and cut, shields sewn and a whole lot of love and laughter thrown around. Thank you ladies for such a successful morning. 

Congratulations to Lisa who guessed 325 sweeties in the jar when it was so close at 326! 

                           
 
                                 

We raised 17 Rial ($45 USD) which was deposited in the name of Muscat Volunteers into the Revlon Love is On Challenge tonight , bringing our team total to $345. 

Days for Girls International is currently number 4 in the race to win $1,000,000. 

Any dollar we earn gives them credit for the competition. To donate please go HERE. 

The ladies also completed their "I Will..." commitments and we posted them on a board which we will display on Tuesday. Here is a sneak peak of one entry. Today's event was in honour of International Day of the Girl which is this Tuesday 11th.
